How to pace yourself on a 72-hour sea festival
- Know your way around the Genting Dream.
One things for sure, if you’re a seasoned shipmate – getting lost may get you frustrated if you’re on board to see your favourite artist!
The ship is HUGE, when we say huge we mean 19 decks huge. It’s basically a gigantic mall! When you know where you are, you’re wasting less time walking around mindlessly looking for your next destination.

Take some time to look at the maps we’ve created:
- Pace your liver
IT’S THE SHIP is 4 days and 3 nights of pure madness. Get your livers ready for the amount of alcohol going into your system. If you go ham on night 1, prepare to suffer on day 2 and night 2 and miss out. Slow your roll and take it easy guys, you do have 4 days
- Get enough sleep
This is essential, you don’t want to be walking back into Singapore looking like a dead zombie while checking out. Bring your zombie costume, don’t be one. You will regret it if you miss the festivities at night for the very last day – we know some people who just couldn’t hang anymore. Be aware of your party-battery and don’t be that guy
- Drink plenty of water
We are very close to the equator and that means you’re going to get ready to feel the HEAT of the eastern hemisphere. With the amount of alcohol going down those tracheas, there should be twice as much water going down there as well. Don’t get dehydrated. Water is not beer, champagne, liquor or even ice cream. Water is water – h20
- Revive yourself on the exotic beaches of Phuket
After being at sea for 2 days, take a break and step off the ship on the beautiful island of PHUKET! Phuket has one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and it would be a shame if you stayed on board. Get back on land and explore and relax, grab a coconut and chill the duck out
- Food is key
So don’t forget to fuel up every day while you’re on board. The best part about #ITSTHESHIP, is that the buffet is included in your cabin price – that means it’s FREE! Get ready to eat your heart out, grab 5 helpings or more if that’s what makes you happy
- Food is key
- There’s always tomorrow
Remember we’re on board for 4 days, don’t push your body if you are too tired. Get some shuteye, relax at the spa and chill – there’s always tomorrow. IT’S THE SHIP is no marathon, but some may want to be part of #teamnosleep. You know your body best so don’t succumb to the peer pressure – listen to your body shipmates
